Truthfully, I wasn't sure it was even possible but I went ahead anyway with my research. The biggest problem was making something awesome that wouldn't make anyone broke.

The hovercraft itself would also have to be able to be built using commonly available supplies.

Then one day something just "clicked in." Now, I just had to get some people to help me use this knowledge to build a hovercraft.

Since it's easier to build something if you have a blueprint, plans would have to be drawn up. The new plans would have to be easy enough to follow even if you've never built anything before.
